Week 21

You may not see much of a difference in the photos this week as I just did loads more sanding. A little bit of filing on the top surface of the plinth too.


I thought I had sanded enough so polished the whole sculpture. Then the tutor pointed out that I had not used fine enough sandpaper and I should have used Brasso on the stone before polishing.

He demonstrated by using finer sandpaper, Brasso and then polishing (just the top of the sculpture) to show what a difference it can make. You can see this I think in the photo below.

So next week more sanding, Brasso and then polishing. It should be finished then though.
